Captain Steve Ahlers has fished in Boca Grande since high school.
He also lives
in the area and is very active in the Boca Grande Fishing Guides
Association, presently serving
as director. As a resident of the Boca Grande community
he has the advantage of better knowing this fishing
paradise. From August through mid-April Steve's focus is on fly and light tackle fishing in the backcountry and on the flats. The waters in the Boca Grande area are rich with redfish, snook, cobia and other game fish making this area an angler's dream. Light Tackle Equipment Late Spring bring the tarpon into the area turning Steve's attention to Boca Pass and its world famous tarpon fishing. He built and customized his Morgan specifically for this purpose. His years of experience fishing these "Silver Kings" will ensure even a novice fisherman a successful catch.
